After upgrading the Controller to this release, a "Programming Flash. Please Wait..." message will appear. This message is referring to the Flash programming of the display(s). During this period of time, about 5 seconds, power should NOT be cycled. If power is lost during this period of time the display(s) may become corrupt. The symptom of this happening will be totally blank display(s) when turning the controller ON. If this happens, the controller must be sent back to the Factory for repair. - Software versions loaded on Encore family units are considered compatible, provided the first three digits (i.e. #.##) of the reported software versions match. The last two digits in the software version (#.##.xx) may be different across different models without affecting usability. ____________ NEW FEATURES - PDS and PDS 3G Support via AUX Setup PDS units with 3.00 software and above can now be connected to the Encore Controller via Ethernet for use as AUX Destinations. Like ImagePRO or ImagePRO-II connected as an AUX, the concept here is to connect outputs from one or more routers to the PDS so that any available source used in the Encore system can be displayed on a given monitor. Input files saved on Encore VPs or ScreenPRO-II units will be copied to PDS, just like is done for ImagePRO-3G or ImagePRO-II AUXs. Note that only one each of Analog (HD-15), SDI and DVI inputs on the PDS can be accessed by the Encore or ScreenPRO-II Controller when configured as an AUX destination. Refer to the PDS Users Guide (P/N: 26-1204000-00), Appendix B for more information on how to setup the PDS to connect to the Encore or ScreenPRO-II Controller. - Added support for the MatrixPRO-II 16x16 DVI router (P/N: R9004691) The MatrixPRO-II 16x16 DVI router is an HDCP compliant video signal matrix router that can switch any of the 16 DVI inputs to any or all of the 16 outputs. Any input source, whether it‘s an HD-DVD player, Blu-ray player or a computer with high-resolution graphics, can be routed to a DVI or HDMI (via an adaptor) output digital display. For more information, please visit: http://www.barco.com/en/products-solutions/image-processing/matrix-switchers/affordable-dvi-router-with-hdcp-support.aspx - Added support for the GefenPRO Family of DVI routers This support is limited to the Ethernet connection on the back of the router. Consult the GefenPRO users guide for help on setting up the IP address for the router. This support was tested on a GefenPRO 16x16 DVI Matrix router running Matrix Firmware 6.0.13. ______________________ IMPROVED FUNCTIONALITY - Input sizing, aspect ratio and color settings contained in the input files copied down to PDS and ImagePRO-II, will be used by these AUX devices when switching sources on these products. Like ImagePRO connected as an AUX, the concept here is to connect outputs from one or more routers to the ImagePRO-II so that any available source used in the Encore system can be displayed on a given monitor. _______________ Important Notes If the ImagePRO-II is running software releases prior to 2.00, you will need to upgrade your ImagePRO-II to release 2.00 or higher before connecting to the Controller. Only Analog (HD-15), SDI and DVI inputs on the ImagePRO-II can be accessed by the Encore Controller when configured as an AUX destination. - Added support for Blackmagic Videohub Family of SDI routers. This support is limited to those models which have a direct Ethernet connection on the back of the router. Consult the Blackmagic users guide for help on setting up the IP address for the router. The RS-422 control on these routers is NOT supported with the Encore family of controllers. This support was tested on the Smart Videohub 16x16 running the Blackmagic Videohub Ethernet Protocol v2.1. This version of the Ethernet Protocol was released with Videohub 4.5.1 software. ______________________ IMPROVED FUNCTIONALITY - ImagePRO AUX Destination Freeze and Logo Support Freeze and Logo functionality can now be used directly from the Encore Family of controllers for any given ImagePRO AUX destination. After selecting an ImagePRO AUX destination, use the Freeze button on the controller to freeze the current input. Pressing the button again will unfreeze the input. If a source selection is made after freezing the input, the freeze mode will be disabled when the transition is initiated so the new source can be taken to program. Logo can be selected on the ScreenPRO-II Controller by way of the LOGO button. For ImagePRO AUX destinations, the LOGO button will behave the same as a source selection button in order to select the Logo for use when a transition is performed. - Output Test Pattern Menu Under certain circumstances, various menu options in the Output Test Pattern menu would show incorrect data in the adjustable field areas of the display. This issue has been corrected in this release. - When AUX Destinations were configured to use one of the "Router DA" types, the Controller would stay in a transitioning state for up to three seconds for each selected AUX Destination. This issue has been resolved in this release. - In Mix Source mode, the PIP in Preview would not correctly size and position itself when the Mix Source button was pushed. This issue has been resolved in this release. - Making an Input selection of a source already showing in Preview would cause a transition that immediately followed to not be properly synchronized across a widescreen. This issue has been resolved in this release. - DVI Sources acquired on ScreenPRO-II and sent to an ImagePRO configured as an AUX destination would report "Invalid Signal" on the ImagePRO when selected for use. This issue has been resolved in this release. - While in "Move Setup", the "Fullscreen" function would not work correctly under certain conditions. This issue has been resolved in this release. - For PIPs without a Border or Shadow, the "Fullscreen" function would not work correctly under certain conditions for a cloned PIP. - In order to map an input selection button to a scaled DVI input on the ScreenPRO-II, at least one ScreenPRO-II with EOC installed must be setup as a Destination and configured for Internal DVI routing. - Selecting keyframe effects other than "Linear" had no effect for ScreenPRO-II destinations. These effect choices have been removed for use on ScreenPRO-II destinations only. - The Saturation setting for SDI sources was not being correctly displayed on the controller after recalling the source for use in a layer. This issue has been addressed in this release. **************************** Version 2.30.02 ********************************** _______________ IMPORTANT NOTES - Controller Lockout Codes Default Code: 1111 Master Code: 2311 ____________ NEW FEATURES - Auto Acquire mode added for Single Screen Destinations Within the "Dest Setup" menu, a new "ACQ" menu had been added. This menu contains the "Auto Source Acquire" and "Auto Input Save" items that used to reside under the "User Pref" menu. By default and after a Factory Reset, "Auto Source Acquire" will be set to a new selection named "ONCE" and "Auto Input Save" will be set to "ON". As expected, the controller will attempt to Auto Acquire an Input as soon as the Source is selected on the bus, provided it does not currently have a saved input configuration file. If the Auto Acquire procedure is successful, the Controller will then automatically save an input configuration file for the newly acquired source. In addition, "Auto Source Acquire" now contains a new selection called "AUTO". This selection is only valid for use with Single Screen Destinations. It will tell the ScreenPRO-II to automatically lock to the incoming signal, whenever it may change, without having to perform a Force Acquire. This is useful when different sources are going to be connected to a Destination during the course of an event and it is necessary for that signal to be acquired without any interaction from the operator of the Controller. ______________________ IMPROVED FUNCTIONALITY - Output Test Pattern Menu A new selection, "ALL", has been added to the "Destination" field. When "ALL" is selected, the test pattern chosen will be applied to all defined destinations. - Status Menu Connection Updates With previous releases, the Status menu would be slow to update the fields showing the currently connected devices after powering on the controller. This issue has been resolved in this release. - Crop Settings Altering a Move Setup that had been automatically generated by the controller could cause crop settings to be lost under certain conditions. This issue has been resolved in this release. - Various minor issues relating to Frame Grab have been resolved in this release. - Under certain conditions, a PIP in Program would cut to a new location after a Preset Recall was performed and before and AUTO TRANS or CUT transition had been issued. This issue has been addressed in this release. - For ScreenPRO-II Destinations, Routing Modes now default to INTERNAL. **************************** Version 2.01.00 ********************************** _______________ IMPORTANT NOTES - Controller Lockout Codes Default Code: 1111 Master Code: 2111 ______________________ IMPROVED FUNCTIONALITY - If a DVI signal was removed from either DVI input on a ScreenPRO II system while Frame Grabs were in use on the Background or DSK layer, the Background or DSK would go to black. This issue has been resolved in this release. - Move Setup could not be performed while the Layer was on Program. This issue has been resolved in this release. - Making adjustments in the Background Input Setup menu would only change one destination despite multiple destinations being active. This issue has been resolved in this release. - When connected via Ethernet, the port number for Sierra, NVision and Grass Valley routers was not set correctly. This issue has been resolved in this release. - For a given BlendPRO destination, using External Routing mode did not function correctly. This issue has been resolved in this release. ***************************** Version 2.00.00 ********************************** _______________ IMPORTANT NOTES - Controller Lockout Codes Default Code: 1111 Master Code: 2111 - Barco Backup and Restore Utility Starting with this release, the backup and restore GUI will no longer convert backups from previous releases to Version 2.00 releases or higher. When performing a restore operation in Version 2.00 releases or higher, the backup must be from a system running the same Encore software release to which the restore is being performed. ____________ NEW FEATURES - Scaled DVI Input Support for ScreenPRO-II (with EOC) Destinations ScreenPRO-II systems with EOC cards installed now allow the DVI inputs to be scaled. Within the Destination Setup menu for SPII, the operator can select the DVI inputs to be either Internally or Externally routed. Once the Input/Output patching has been setup, the DVI inputs can be manipulated by way of the Layer and Input selection keys. - Auto Resolve Resource Conflicts A new mode option has been added within the PRESET menu named "AUTO RESOLVE CONFLICTS". When this mode is OFF (default), preset recall behavior functions as before. When there is a resource conflict, the preset is not recalled. When this mode is ON, once a conflict is detected by way of a preset recall action, the controller will present the operator with a new options menu. Within this menu will be a short description of why the preset failed to be recalled. At the bottom of the menu are three choices the operator can make on how the system should proceed. 1) AUTO RESOLVE The controller will take the necessary steps to recall the desired look into Preview. If a resource needs to be removed from Program to fully recall the preset into Preview, this action will occur immediately by way of a Cut transition. 2) AUTO RES & TRAN When this option is selected, the controller will take the necessary steps to recall the desired look into Preview. Once the preset is fully recalled into Preview, the Controller will perform an AUTO TRANS to take Preview to Program. Transition rates are dependent on the saved parameters within the Program Preset. 3) CANCEL When this option is selected, the preset will not be recalled and the user will be taken back to the PRESETS menu. - New External Remote Control Commands PROGPRESET - This command can be used to recall presets directly to Program. The next set of new features will be available in following releases. - Controller Lockout Codes Default Code: 1111 Master Code: 1218 ______________________ IMPROVED FUNCTIONALITY - When slowly approaching the end point of a T-Bar dissolve, an intensity jump could be observed. This issue has been resolved in this release. ****************************** Version 1.19 (Build 2) ************************************ _______________ IMPORTANT NOTES - Controller Lockout Codes Default Code: 1111 Master Code: 1188 - Ethernet Communication Improvements Improvements to communication and connection reliability have been made with this release. To take full advantage of these improvements, it is recommended that a 10/100MBit or 100MBit Switch be used when connecting the ScreenPRO II Controller to Video Processors, ScreenPRO II's, PresentationPRO II's or ImagePRO. ____________ NEW FEATURES - Control for the Enhanced Output Card Added The Enhanced Output Card (EOC) is an optional (factory installed) card that provides additional output formats and expands the still store capabilities of the ScreenPRO II. The EOC takes as an input either the Preview or Program Output of the ScreenPRO II (user selectable) and provides the following outputs: - SD/HD SDI - Analog YPbPr - RGBHV The following resolutions are supported with the EOC: NTSC (480i) PAL (576i) 800x600 1024x768 1280x1024 1400x1050 1600x1200 1280x720p @50, 59.94, 60 1920x1080i @50, 59.94, 60 1920x1080p @25, 29.97, 30 When the EOC card is installed in a ScreenPRO II Destination a button labeled "E OUT" appears on the Output Menu. The EOC menu provides control of the following parameters: - EOC Output source (Preview or Program) - Colorspace - Underscan - Sync Settings - Test Patterns - Gamma - Sharpness - Flicker Filter The EOC provides increased Frame Store storage capabilities from 3 storable frames to 100 storable frames. In addition to increased capacity, frame stores can both be saved and recalled for use on the order of 6 - 10 seconds depending on resolution. Like the current operation, Frame Grabs are captured into one of three temporary storage locations. Once the Frame has been captured, press the SAVE soft-key. If the Extended Memory is available, the operator will be able to select a storage file number location of 1 - 100. Without this option, the storage file number will be limited to 1 - 3. - Auto Acquire / Auto Save of Inputs is now supported. By default, the Controller will now attempt to Auto Acquire an Input as soon as the Source is selected on the bus, provided it does not currently have a saved input configuration file. If the Auto Acquire procedure is successful, the Controller will then automatically save an input configuration file for the newly acquired source. This feature can be enabled or disabled in the USER PREF submenu under the MISC menu. After a Factory Reset both "Auto Source Acquire" and "Auto Input Save" are set to ON. While "Auto Source Acquire" is ON, "Auto Input Save" can be changed to either ON or OFF. When "Auto Source Acquire" is OFF, "Auto Input Save" will show "[OFF]" and can not be changed. - Ability to define Custom Borders has been implemented. Within the BORDER menu, a new submenu has been added called "CUSTOM BORDER". To use this new feature, first select any layer and choose one of the preconfigured Border Styles as a starting point. Press the CUSTOM BORDER soft-key to begin the modification process. The first field in this menu is STYLE. This is the number under which the new custom border will be saved for later use and recall. The numbers in this field range from 21 - 40. Numbers 1 - 20 represent the predefined borders and can not be selected or overwritten. If any of the numbers from 21 - 40 show "(EMPTY)", then this number does not contain a border definition. The next field is "Adjust Pip Soft Edge Only". If a style other than 1 was chosen prior to entering the CUSTOM BORDER menu, this field will show "OFF". The user can opt to change this to ON and if a border was showing, it will be replaced with a Soft Edge around the PIP only. Once this field is ON, the remaining fields in the menu will change to show only the relevant parameters that can be adjusted. These are the "Soft Edge (%)", "Soft Edge Curve" and "Soft Edge Gamma". Adjust these fields as necessary to obtain the desired look. If the "Adjust Pip Soft Edge Only" is set to OFF, then three groups of adjustments become available. These are the Inner Border, Outer Border and PIP Soft Edge. The Inner Border is that border adjacent to the live PIP data. The Outer Border is that border adjacent to the Inner Border. The PIP Soft Edge is the soft edge applied between the live PIP data and the Inner Border. For both the Inner and Outer Border, Width, Soft Edge, Color Tone, Soft Edge Curve and Soft Edge Gamma can be adjusted. When making adjustments to the Inner Border Width (%), Outer Border Width (%) or PIP Soft Edge (%), keep in mind that these three values must add up to 100%. When adjusting one of these three values, the controller will automatically recalculate the adjacent border width to ensure that these three parameters will always add up to 100%. For example, if PIP Soft Edge (%) is increased, then the Inner Border Width will be decreased appropriately. If the Inner Border Width is increased, the Outer Border Width will be decreased appropriately. Continue to adjust these and the other fields as necessary to obtain the desired look. Once the border look has been defined, press the SAVE soft-key at the bottom of the menu to save this new STYLE in the number chosen as shown in the first field. After the new style is saved and the Controller will return to the main Border Menu. By looking at the Style field in this menu, the Controller will show the new number the border was saved to and the word (CUSTOM) will appear next to the number. If adjustments have been made in the Custom Border menu and the user attempts to BACK out of the menu before saving the new border, a confirmation menu will appear asking to SAVE or CANCEL the adjustments that were made. If CANCEL is pressed, the border will be restored to the look prior to making any adjustment. After a Custom Border has been saved, it will be available for use by any Single Screen or Wide Screen Destination, regardless of which Destination was used to create the new border. Any Custom Borders created are fully backed up by the BACKUP / RESTORE process using the MMC card or the Barco Backup and Restore Utility. In the event a Video Processor needs to be replaced after the Custom Borders have been created, upon connection to the Controller, the Controller will automatically download all Custom Border files to the new Video Processor. - Preset Recall Options have been implemented. Use the "Presets" soft-key in the HOME menu to access the selectable options. Once in the menu, any combination of Background, DSK or Border can be selected to be ON or OFF. When OFF, Preset Recalls will not attempt to change that part of the look. For example, consider a series of Presets have been created that use Background A, configured as a live DVI unscaled input. If it is decided that Background A needs to be a Frame Grab for that series of Presets, simply reconfigure Background A for the Frame Grab and in the PRESET RECALL menu, turn Background to OFF. Now when any of the Presets are recalled, they will not attempt to change Background A to be a DVI input. - "Patch Next" Functionality Added to the Output Patch Menu A new soft-key, "PATCH NEXT" has been added at the bottom of the Output Patch menu. This feature has been implemented to facilitate quick data entry in order to define the Output Patch, provided the physical output connections to the Video Processors have been done in a logical order. To make use of this feature, dial in the first Output number to start from. Define the VP/SP ID and VP/SP Input this output is connected to and push "ADD PATCH". From this point, pushing "PATCH NEXT" will automatically, 1) Increment to the next Output Number, 2) Increment the VP/SP Input Layer or VP/SP ID if the last VP/SP Input Layer has been defined, 3) Add the patch. For example, if starting out with the following: Router Output: 12 SP ID: 1 SP Layer: 1A Pushing "PATCH NEXT" would automatically add the following patch data: Router Output: 13 SP ID: 1 SP Layer: 1B Pushing "PATCH NEXT" again would automatically add the following patch data: Router Output: 14 SP ID: 2 SP Layer: 1A - "Previous" preset key has been implemented. Pushing the "Previous" key in the Preset Bus will tell the controller to recall the previously defined preset in numerical order from the currently active preset. - FSR Pathfinder Routers are now supported. In the main ROUTER SETUP menu, FSR has been added to the list of manufactures that can be selected. The Pathfinder series of routers can be connected to the Encore Controller via Serial or Ethernet. When using a serial connection, the cable type used must be a NULL Modem. When connecting via Ethernet, make sure the IP address of the router is in the 192.168.0.xxx range in order to be compatible with the Encore Controller network. - AutoPatch Routers are now supported. In the main ROUTER SETUP menu, AUTOPATCH has been added to the list of manufactures that can be selected. Connection to these routers can be made with a direct straight through serial cable to the Encore Controller EXT COMM port. Ethernet connection is only supported via the Lantronix device. When using AutoPatch routers with the Encore Controller system, only Level 0 of the router will be used. In addition to this, only one connection type can be used with the system (Analog, SDI or DVI). The controller can not be configured to access mixed configurations that the AutoPatch router series is capable of providing. ______________________ IMPROVED FUNCTIONALITY - Layers that are on Program but not visible are now considered available resources when attempting to recall a Preset. All attributes of the Layer can be changed by a Preset recall if desired. - Fixed an issue in which the touch screen display would reprogram unnecessarily after a power cycle. - Presets will now remember and recall the "active for modification" status of a layer in the Layer Selection bus. - If a Destination which was saved in a Preset goes off-line, the Preset will still recall looks on those Destinations that are still currently available. - Shortcuts between the Test Pattern and Widescreen menus have been added. - While in CROP mode and in the Input Source menu, if the source was changed to another input, the H Size field would go to 0. This issue has been resolved in this release. - Fixed an issue in which Output Patch entries would be changed to default values when performing a Test Comm for a Router. - After the Controller would connected to a Video Processor, the Status menu would show "Checksum Mismatch" when there was none. This issue has been resolved in this release. - When recalling a Preset that contained an AUX destination, a route and transition would be performed on the AUX destination even when this destination already showed the correct source. This issue has been resolved in this release. - A couple of issues in which a Preset recall would incorrectly auto-pend a move of a PIP on Program have been resolved in this release. - Several navigation bar display issues have been resolved in this release. - Default routers deleted by a user will not return until a factory reset has been performed. Previously, power-cycling the Controller would cause the default routers to be redefined in the system automatically. This issue has been addressed in this release. - If a user selects CUSTOM in the Aspect Ratio submenu, it will now stay at this setting even if a standard aspect ratio is dialed into the system. - Changing sources while in the CROP menu would not always perform the correct relative cropping calculations. This issue has been addressed in this release. - If a TEST COMM changes the number of input or outputs of a router that is currently defined, the original patch table information will not be lost. Simply dial in the original number of Inputs or Outputs to gain access to the information that was previously defined. - Fixed an issue in which Clone did not work correctly on 2 or 4 screen widescreens using the ScreenPRO II Controller and a BlendPRO II. - If the Output Sync settings was first set to CSYNC and then SOG was selected, it was not possible to turn SOG off. This issue has been addressed in this release. - In Split mode, if a Layer was on Program and another Preset was recalled that simply changed the size and location of the Layer on Program, the system would not auto pend a move to the new size and location. This issue has been addressed in this release. - Under certain conditions, Frame Stores would be reloaded into Preview even if Preview currently showed the correct Frame Store. This issue has been resolved with this release. - Under certain conditions, a Preset that recalled a Frame Store into Preview would do so, but after the draw was complete, the Background would revert back to the live DVI background. This issue has been resolved in this release. - In the Input Patch menu, "Delete Patch" was not functioning correctly. This issue has been resolved in this release. - When a ME was in Mix Source mode, with one PIP in Program and one PIP in Preview, recalling Move Parameters with User Keys did not always correctly pend the Move for the PIP in Program. This issue has been resolved in this release. - If a Joined CUT+FILL ME was pended to MOVE on Program and then cleared off of Preview, pushing AUTO TRANS would only cause the Key source Layer to fly as it dissolved off of Program. This issue has been resolved in this release. - If two Layers were shown on Preview and the user started to CROP one of the Layers, enabling the other Layer and using the Joystick would cause invalid numbers to show in the CROP menu for the newly selected Layer. This issue has been resolved in this release. - Fixed an issue in which 2048 x n resolutions were not being correctly selected for Widescreen setups using BlendPRO II. - When Encore VP's were configured to output an interlaced format, using the Color Picker for a Keyed layer did not function properly. This issue has been resolved with this release. - Pushing the PIP or KEY button would not go to the main PIP or KEY menu if another menu was currently showing. This issue has been resolved in this release. - Input Saturation adjustment did not work correctly with SD / HD-SDI sources. This issue has been resolved in this release. - The Invert mode for a Keyed Layer would be incorrectly recalled by a Preset while the Keyed Layer was on Program. This issue has been resolved in this release. - An issue in 1.19 Build 1 caused all but the last Preset saved to become unavailable if the Controller was power cycled. This issue has been resolved in this release. - BARCO Backup and Restore Utility Version 1.19 of the BARCO Backup and Restore Utility has been released with this bundle. - BARCO Encore Configurator Version 3.13 of the BARCO Encore Configurator has been released with this bundle which fixes some issues relating to Input Patch defaults. *************************** Version 1.16 ********************************** _______________ IMPORTANT NOTES - Controller Lockout Codes Default Code: 1111 Master Code: 1168 ____________ NEW FEATURES - Input Lock Status Menu for BlendPRO II Widescreen Applications To ensure proper operation of Widescreen applications using BlendPRO II, it is required that the Inputs to BlendPRO II from all ScreenPRO II's remained connected and locked to one another. If one of the Input cables becomes disconnected, the Controller will immediately show an Input Lock status menu that describes which Input cables are not currently connected. The operator must correct the issue before being allowed to continue using the system. Once the cabling issue has been resolved, the menu will be cleared automatically. ______________________ IMPROVED FUNCTIONALITY - Additional Input Configuration File Saving Options Added for BPII Applications When creating Input Configuration files for a Widescreen configuration using BlendPRO II, a new SAVE ALL option is available for use. In the main Input menu, pressing the SAVE key will open a new menu where the operator can choose between SAVE or SAVE ALL. In the SIZING and COLOR BALANCE submenus, SAVE ALL has been added as a soft-key to the bottom of the menu. This option allows the operator to decide if the changes made should be applied to the currently selected Layer only, by pressing the SAVE soft-key, or both Layers by pressing the SAVE ALL key. Suppose Layer A is currently selected and adjustments have just been made in the Color Balance menu. Pressing SAVE will apply the changes only to Layer A. Pressing SAVE ALL will ensure that both Layers A and B use the new settings when the source is recalled. The SAVE ALL soft-key is menu sensitive. In the example above, the global save between the two layers only affected the COLOR BALANCE settings, SIZING and overall CONTRAST/BRIGHTNESS remain unchanged from their previous settings between the two Layers. The SAVE ALL feature follows the ID field. If the ID field was set to ALL in the COLOR BALANCE menu for example, then both Layers in ALL ScreenPRO II's will get the new changes. If a specific ID is set and SAVE ALL is selected, both Layers in that specific ScreenPRO II will get the new changes. Individual Input adjustments, such as with Contrast, Brightness and Color Balance between ScreenPRO II systems in a widescreen application may be necessary due to the nature of separate analog inputs connected to each ScreenPRO II system. The enhancements to the Input Configuration menus have been made to allow any one ScreenPRO II system to be adjusted differently relative to the other units that make up the widescreen. - Effects Menu is now Destination Based A new field "Destination" has been added to the Effects menu. This will allow for different Transition Types and Transition Rates to be selected on a per Destination basis. - An issue concerning serial communication failing with ISIS routers has been resolved with this release. - When loading Frame Grabs into either the Background or DSK, it was possible that the image would be corrupt during or after the load. This issue has been addressed in this release. - Several issues relating to the selection of Oversample in the Input Configuration menu were found and addressed in this release. - Added 2048x512@59.94 in the Output Resolution table. - Preset Recall speeds have been improved. - Occasionally, the POP-UP message shown when the operator presses FORCE ACQ would stay stuck on the screen after the image was acquired. This issue has been addressed in this release. - Improved communication to the MatrixPRO series of routers in order to speed up the execution routes. - Improved overall system performance when Presets are recalled from an external control program such as the Barco Events Manager. - Several Preset Recall logic issues have been addressed in this release. - When switching from a known and saved Input Configuration to a non-saved Input, the Input menu would show the previous Format resolution instead of Invalid Format. This issue has been addressed in this release. - After Pending a MOVE in Preview, if the T-Bar was used to bring the source to Program, the Pended Move state would be lost after the transition. This issue has been addressed in this release. - BARCO Backup and Restore Utility Version 1.16 of the BARCO Backup and Restore Utility has been released with this bundle. - BARCO Encore Configurator Version 3.01 of the BARCO Encore Configurator has been released with this bundle and now includes support for the ScreenPRO II Controller. ************************** Version 1.15 ********************************* !!! IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT UPGRADING TO 1.16 RELEASE SOFTWARE !!! Starting with this revision of software, it will not be possible to downgrade the controller to a previous release. Downgrading the controller software after uploading and running this release will cause the ScreenPRO IIs to not connect. However, recovery is possible by performing a stand-alone downgrade of the ScreenPRO II. _______________ IMPORTANT NOTES - This software release is for setups that require a BlendPRO II to create a Widescreen show with ScreenPRO II units. Single screen setups controlled with the ScreenPRO II Controller should continue to use the 1.14.X software bundle. - Controller Display Message when Upgrading from all earlier code releases. After upgrading the Controller to this release, a "Programming Flash. Please Wait..." message will appear. This message is referring to the Flash programming of the display. During this period of time, about 5 seconds, power should NOT be cycled. If power is lost during this period of time the display may become corrupt. The symptom of this happening will be a totally blank display when turning the controller ON. If this happens, the controller must be sent back to the Factory for repair. When the above process completes, the display will go into an "Auto Calibration" mode so the user can recalibrate the touch screen as this information was lost due to the "Programming Flash" procedure. - Controller Lockout Codes Default Code: 1111 Master Code: 1158 ____________ NEW FEATURES - Widescreen setups with ScreenPRO II and BlendPRO II are now supported. Setting up and controlling a Widescreen setup can now be accomplished with ScreenPRO II units whose outputs are blended together with the BlendPRO II product. Connection to the BlendPRO II requires that the DVI Program Outputs from each ScreenPRO II unit be connected to the DVI Inputs on the BlendPRO II unit. Preview monitors will continue to be connected to the ScreenPRO II units directly. An important element required to ensure the system works properly is the Widescreen Link connection. Connect the Widescreen Lock OUT from the BlendPRO II to the Genlock IN on the lowest ID ScreenPRO II. Connect the Genlock LOOP out from this ScreenPRO II to the next highest ID ScreenPRO II Genlock IN. Continue the connections in this manner for each ScreenPRO II in the Widescreen setup. Once the cables are connected, be sure that the last ScreenPRO II unit has its Termination button pushed IN. All other ScreenPRO II units should NOT have the Termination button pushed IN. Once the BlendPRO II unit is connected to the network, the ScreenPRO II Controller will automatically assign an IP address to the unit and the Status menu on the Controller will report 1 next to the BlendPRO II field. In the Dest Setup menu, simply add all of the ScreenPRO II unit IDs required to make up the Widescreen. The Destination Type will automatically change to say "Widescreen SP". Select "Internal" or "External" routing as normal. When Internal Routing is selected, make sure that each Source is D/A'd to the same physical input on each ScreenPRO II unit. In the Output menu, set the resolution to the native resolution of your projector. Since this Destination is now considered a Widescreen Destination, the WIDE SCREEN soft-key will show at the bottom of the Output menu to allow adjustments specific to Widescreen setups. Inputs can now be routed into a Layer and Force Acquired as normal. If necessary, Color Balance and Phase can adjusted on each Layer within each unit separately by selecting the unit ID in the Input setup menus. Controlling the Widescreen Destination is the same as Single Screen Destination. All of the Layer Functions and resource usage rules will work in the same manner. One additional feature not available in Single Screen mode is Clone. To use this, simply place a Layer on one half of the Widescreen display area. Press the Clone key and an identical Layer will appear on the other half of the screen. From this point either Mirror or Offset can be selected to define how the Clone will operate. *************************** Version 1.14.X ****************************** - No changes to the ScreenPRO II Controller. This bundle was released to support the ScreenPRO II 1.14.X release. *************************** Version 1.14 ******************************** _______________ IMPORTANT NOTES - Version 1.14 should be considered a maintenance release that addresses various issues and problems that were discovered after releasing 1.12. The next set of new features will be available in following releases. - Controller Lockout Codes Default Code: 1111 Master Code: 1148 - Clearing Menu POP-UPs Several pop-up menus that could be cleared quickly by hitting any key on the Controller can no longer be cleared by this method. This feature, which was introduced in 1.12, had the potential of staying on screen indefinitely. The next software release will address this problem in order to restore this feature. ____________ NEW FEATURES - Ethernet connection to Leitch Routers is now supported. When the Encore Controller connects to a Leitch Router via Ethernet, a Telnet session is established between the Controller and the Router. As part of establishing this connection, the router requires a User Name and Password to be entered. The Controller does this automatically when attempting to connect to the router by using the default factory account. To ensure that a connection is successful, verify that the Leitch Router has the following User Name and Password account. User Name: leitch Password: leitchadmin Refer to the router "Installation, Configuration, and Operation Manual" for more information on how to create user accounts. The manual will also describe how to properly change the IP address of the router. This will be necessary in order to set the router to a compatible static IP address. - MatrixPRO DVI 8x8 Routers are now fully supported by the Encore Controller. ______________________ IMPROVED FUNCTIONALITY - EDID Controller Lockup When attempting to program EDID from the Encore Controller, the Controller would lockup after pressing the "CONTINUE" button. This issue has been resolved in this release. - Tally Mode Controller Lockup When attempting to turn Tally Mode ON in the SYSTEM menu, the Controller would lockup. This issue has been resolved in this release. - Mix Source / Swap Status Reporting After turning the Controller ON, the first time a Mixer was placed into a non-Split mode and a Layer was selected, the Controller would report the Layer to be in both Mix Source and Swap modes. This issue has been resolved in this release. - Layer Joining Issue If a Mixer was in Split mode and only one of the Layers was on Program, Joystick operation would move the PIP on Program if the other Layer was enabled in Preview and used as the master Layer when Joining layers. This issue has been resolved in this release. - "Source" / "CROP" Issues If a Source adjustment was done to a PIP, followed by a CROP adjustment, is was possible that the data within the PIP would adjust itself incorrectly. This issue has been resolved in this release. - Background Freeze Operational Enhancement If a DVI or Analog Background is currently frozen, changing the Type will cause the Background to automatically unfreeze. - Preset Issues * If both Layers within a Mixer were setup identically, including the source being used and these Layers were currently on Program, then any Preset that contained this look, when recalled, would cause the two PIPs in Program to pend a move that swapped their location. * If a Mixer was in Mix Mode and one of the Layers was on Program, recalling a Preset with this exact look would cause a move to be pended on both Layers. * If Input Source adjustments were done after saving Presets that used these sources, recalling these presets did not always correctly setup the data within the PIP nor did it properly pend moves with the correct end look under these circumstances. * When a Mixer was in Mix Mode and each Layer had a different Aspect Ratio source, recalling a Preset to pend a move would cause the aspect ratio of the PIP in Program to be incorrect at the end of the move. * When using Presets to change Key properties for a single Layer in Split mode, after taking one of the Presets to Program, recalling the second Preset would cause the incorrect scaler to be used. * If a Frame Grab was shown on Program by using a Background Layer and a Preset was recalled that Cleared the Background to a Matte color, under a certain condition, the Frame Grab would be cleared in Program. These issues have been resolved in this release. - DSK Clearing in ScreenPRO II Systems When a DSK was on Program in a ScreenPRO II, selecting the DSK and pressing Clear Layer would cause the DSK to clear on both Preview and Program. This issue has been resolved in this release. - Sierra Routers connected via Lantronix Under certain conditions, the Controller would incorrectly process the return data from Sierra Routers when connected to the Lantronix Ethernet to Serial Converter. This issue could result in Video Processors temporarily disconnecting from the Controller. This issue has been resolved in this release. - Factory Reset of Active Destinations When selecting the option to Factory Reset the Active Destination along with the Controller, the Video Processors would not reset. This issue has been resolved in this release. - Input Patching of ScreenPRO II's concerning Internal Routing When assigning Source Selection buttons to ScreenPRO II Inputs, the ability to assign a Tally was not available. This issue has been resolved in this release. - H and V Position Adjustments within the PIP/KEY Menus The previous software release would not allow individual H or V Position adjustments within the PIP or KEY menus. This issue has been resolved in this release. *************************** Version 1.13 ******************************** _______________ IMPORTANT NOTES This version was never released. *************************** Version 1.12 ******************************** _______________ IMPORTANT NOTES - Controller Lockout Codes Default Code: 1111 Master Code: 1128 - ScreenPRO II must be running Software Release 1.12 or later If the ScreenPRO II is running software release 1.00, download the "ScreenPROII_Rev112.exe" or higher and upgrade the unit in stand-alone mode prior to connecting to the Controller.
