This field will enable or disable test patterns for use. Due to a device that needs to be reprogrammed, this operation will take around 3 seconds to complete. Once the test patterns are ON, a user will be able to select the pattern they want in the TEST PAT field. The raster box will be selectable as OFF/ON When test patterns are OFF, the TEST PAT field will show N/A. The raster box will be selectable as OFF/MAIN/PREVIEW/BOTH. - Added TPMODE command. This command will enable or disable test patterns via the REMOTE port. Command: TPMODE mode --> where mode=[0|1] for OFF or ON Once enabled use the OTPM command to change the Test Pattern type. Please note that the OTPM command has remained the same for backward compatibility reasons. However, the Overlay and Invert parameter have no effect when test patterns are ON. Set these to 0 when using this command. When test patterns are OFF, the Overlay parameter is only applicable to the Raster Box parameter. Again, set the Invert parameter to 0 since this feature has been removed. - Added MARKER command. This command will place a green vertical line (2 pixels wide) at the location specified. This is useful when the systems are used with BlendPro. However, BlendPro is not required for this feature to be enabled. Command: MARKER n HPos --> where, n=[0|1] for OFF or ON HPos=[1-Max Active Horizontal Res] (Based on Output Resolution) The output on which the vertical line is placed is based on the overlay mode for the raster box (i.e. MAIN/PREVIEW/BOTH). If the overlay mode is OFF, then the line will appear on Preview only. If Test pattern are ON, the MARKER command will be ignored. - Added support for Display Lock. This will enable multilpe outputs to be locked both Horizontally and Vertically. The system must be returned for modification for this feature to be available. ______________________ IMPROVED FUNCTIONALITY - Fixed issue in which random freezing of NTSC or PAL would occur. - Improved scaling and windowing position calculations. - Improved PIP and ZOOM functionality for HDTV. - NTSC and PAL sources are now overscaned when the system performs its Auto Signal Lock. - TEST PAT field options have been reduced to remove redundant test patterns selections. - Improved BURST test pattern. This pattern is a true 1 ON 1 OFF pattern surounded by a 32 pixel black region with a 1 pixel boarder around the edge of the raster. - Grid test pattern option has been improved. The grid squares are now larger. - Improved Phase Offset implementation. Phase Offset ranges from -16 to 15. This eliminates the horizontal jump that was seen when the system allowed the offset to range from -32 to 31. As a result of this change, PHSCAL and ICPH no longer perform any function, although they remain for backward compatibility. The range for the ICPHO command has changed to -16 to 15. - For systems with the Display Lock capability, Contrast and Brightness control has been improved. - Fixed RESET ALL selection in the COLOR BALANCE menu. All fields are now set to 0.0%. - When in the ADVANCED input menu mode, pushing PREV MENU key properly returns you to the previous menu (ScreenPro Only). ******************** Version 32.00.D *************************** ______________________ IMPROVED FUNCTIONALITY - Improved Composite NTSC and PAL image processing. - Improved PAL detection algorithm. - Fixed issue with units locking up when upgrading from 25.xx.x or earlier. ******************** Version 32.00.C *************************** ____________ NEW FEATURES - Added Letterbox mode to the Input Menu. When used with NON-RGB sources or HDTV sources, crops the raster to a 16:9 format. This is usefull when using Widescreen sources in PIP mode. The black bars on the top and bottom of the screen will not show. - Added LBX command for remote control of the Letterbox mode. Command Format: LBX n sclr where n = [0|1] for OFF or ON sclr = [M|P|A|B] for Main, Preview, Scaler A or Scaler B ______________________ IMPROVED FUNCTIONALITY - Fixed upper 1/3 tearing issue with video sources zoomed greater than 250%. - Improved HDTV zooming and full screen processing. - Improved operation when units are used with the FC-06xx controllers. ******************** Version 31.00.A *************************** ____________ NEW FEATURES - Implemented features to support the FC-0616 controller and the FC-0608 controller. ******************** Version 25.00.S *************************** ______________________ IMPROVED FUNCTIONALITY - PIP functionality improved. The offset range has been increased to allow users to move a PIP image off the screen. - In the effects menu, the "PIP X OFFSET" and "PIP Y OFFSET" have been replaced with "PIP X POS" and "PIP Y POS", where POS is now referencing the center of the screen. Before OFFSET was referencing the topleft corner of the screen. - HELP command bug fixed. When typing "HELP x" in a terminal window, where x is the first letter of a command, the terminal displays a inaccurate command list. The "HELP x" command now displays the proper list of commands. Example: HELP D --> Terminal window displays only commands that start with D. - Vista Controllers, with serial numbers starting with 'spp-xxxx' or 'sv-0803-xxxx' have compatibility issues when using the PIP function. The movement of the PIP image is very slow and PIP's range is limited to only move in top left area of the screen. This bug was introduced with code release 25.00.P and has been resolved with the release of this software. ______________ SCREENPRO PLUS - While in PIP mode and PIP is in Preview, selecting any of the PIP Preset keys, will now make the PIP go to that preset without having to clear out PIP first. - When selecting a new source on Preview or Program while PIP or KEY is enabled, the PIP or KEY will drop/transition and then make the switch. - When recalling PIP A-D or User Rate, WIPE mode would be enabled. This has been corrected. - The DC-RESTORE field in the PROCESSING sub-menu now allows all options to be selected. Select SYNC to DC Restore to the sync interval. This is useful when incomming video has no back porch. Select PRCH to DC Restore to the back porch of the incoming video. Select PDLY when the incoming source has a tri-level sync such as an HDTV signal. ******************** Version 25.00.P *************************** ____________ NEW FEATURES - Added support for up to 6 Screens. - New output format 1024 x 768 [2] for Samsung 151 series LCD monitors. - New "System Save" command to save the current state of the unit. Description: Saves the system parameters to Flash memory. The system parameters stored are the output format, sync, frame rate, effects (all), serial port configuration, and the front panel parameters. Parameters: None Example 1: SSAVE --> Sytem parameters are saved to Flash memory Example 2: To initiate a system save from the front panel, press the Menu Select MISC --> System Save --> SEL. Pressing SEL key again will save system parameters to Flash memory. ______________________ IMPROVED FUNCTIONALITY - Revised code to save variables in Flash and to operate without a battery backed RAM. - Fixed Front Panel lockup issues. - VFD display intensity is preserved after system save. - Fixed bug when ScreenPro was set to 'EXT REMOTE' mode and then set back to 'STANDALONE' MODE, the 'WIPE' effect was not functional. ******************** Version 25.00.C *************************** ______________________ IMPROVED FUNCTIONALITY - Upgraded software to detect SPR Front Panel Version. ******************** Version 25.00.B *************************** ______________________ IMPROVED FUNCTIONALITY - PIP Query now returns correct values. Effects menu updates to reflect current PIP values. ******************** Version 25.00.A *************************** ____________ NEW FEATURES - The ability to adjust brightness and contrast individually for Red, Green and Blue has been added to the Color Balance menu for Video Sources. The values can range from -25.0% to 25.0% with them defaulting to 0.0%. - The command IRSP has been modified to accept a "P"osition or "W"idth parameter. When using the "P" or "W" parameter, the "offset" parameter becomes an absolute value instead of a value to increment or decrement by. - Keying functions available via Effects Menu. - PIP effect available in the Effects Menu. - A new sub-menu has been added to the MISC Menu. It's called EXT REMOTE CTRL. Use this menu when attaching an external remote control unit to the ScreenPros. This menu will allow a user to quickly place the ScreenPro into RS-485 Mode and set a system ID at the same time. - The EXT CONTROL menu has been renamed to SP+ EXT CONTROL. ______________________ IMPROVED FUNCTIONALITY - An issue which affected downgrading ScreenPro after 23.00.K Beta code had been installed has been corrected in this version. If you have 23.00.K installed in a ScreenPro, upgrade to 25.00.A before downgrading the unit to a previous version. Failure to do so may result in an unusable system that will need to be returned to the factory for repair. - A image artifact issue when PAL sources were placed in PIP Mode has been corrected. - Input 4:3 images can be properly sized in a 16:9 output format. - Image in Preview automatically resizes when PIP Mode is selected. - If Sync is removed when the source is Frozen, the image will no longer disappear. - T-Bar command automatically puts the system into Manual mode. - The RESET F command will no longer delete the User Saved files. - Added PDLY option in the DC RESTORE field. This option is used when the input has a tri-level sync. ICGTE command has been modified to include the PLDY option. Example: ICGTE 2 A will set Scaler A to PDLY. ______________ SCREENPRO PLUS - 1:1 Sampling has been added to the ScreenPro Plus. Before using this feature a one-time Phase Calibration procedure needs to be executed. To do this, make sure to connect any external ScreenPro units to the Frame. Power up the Frame and Console. Connect a 5-wire BNC to BNC cable between Program 1 and Input 1. Go to the SYSTEM menu on the console. Scroll down to "PHASE CAL" and hit the ON/+ key. Follow the instructions on the LCD display.
