This version adds support for extended EDID devices, up to 2K bit. - Programmable Test Pattern Sync Polarities Allows user to select +H+V, +H-V, -H+V, -H-V for sync polarities of the internally available test patterns. - Menu Updates The following front panel menus are altered so that while scrolling through the available options, these options are updated. Previously, the user was required to press the "select" button to view the affect of an update. Note that "select" must still be pressed to make the final desired change permanent. Cable Equalization / Equalization Test Pattern / Type Test Pattern / Raster Box ______________________ IMPROVED FUNCTIONALITY - Input Sync Sensitivity Under certain combinations of input sync polarities, routing to certain outputs was inhibited. This issue has been corrected. - Terminal Command Updates Updated Telnet prompt to match RS-232 terminal prompt. Also, enhanced the following commands: MAC? Returns the mac address of the unit. RTEMP? Returns the current route (or pending route if one exists) for the current output. FPLOCK? Returns "=1" if front panel is locked, "=0" if not locked. *************************** Version 1.03 ***************************** ______________________ IMPROVED FUNCTIONALITY - This is a maintenance release that adds support for better initialization of DVI hardware components on the router mainboards. *************************** Version 1.02 ***************************** _______________ IMPORTANT NOTES - Encore family controllers require Encore SW 1.14 or higher to correctly identify and use the DVI Router. See note in Version 1.00 SW for work around if using Encore SW 1.12. ____________ NEW FEATURES - EDID per channel selection When in the EDID Resolution menu, the user has the ability to select the Input field, and program either all eight inputs, or choose a specific input. Using this feature, input EDIDs can be programmed with different EDID settings if required for the end application. - Output EDID Sniffing When selecting desired EDID resolution in the front panel menu, if the user scrolls off the top end of the menu list, the EDIDs as read from the attached monitor devices will be shown. If a monitor device is not present, or does not contain a valid EDID, "Invalid" is displayed. If a valid EDID is obtained, the front panel displays the vendor name as an identifier. Selecting this will "clone" that EDID into the desired input channel of the router. - Cable Equalization per channel selection When in the Cable Equalization menu, the user had the ability to select the Input field, and program either all eight inputs, or choose a specific input. Using this feature, input cable equalization settings can be programmed differently for different input channels, allowing for optimal equalization based on different cable lengths. - Test Pattern per channel selection When in the Test Pattern menu, the user has the ability to select the Output field, and program either all eight outputs, or choose a specific output. Note that the test pattern itself is selectable on a per channel basis, however, the output resolution of the test pattern is global to all eight channels. *************************** Version 1.01 ***************************** _______________ IMPORTANT NOTES - Current Encore family controllers require Encore SW 1.14 or higher to correctly identify and use the DVI Router. See note in Version 1.00 SW for work around if using Encore SW 1.12. ____________ NEW FEATURES - Cable EQ Menu Settings Added a "min", and "max" setting in addition to the "default" setting for cable equalization. - MatrixPro Remote Controller (MPRC) Added support to be controlled by the MPRC via Ethernet. - PC based GUI Added PC Software GUI to control the MatrixPRO DVI router. This GUI can be accessed via the PC's "start / all programs / Barco Folsom / MatrixPRO DVI 8x8 Software #.## / MatrixPRO DVI GUI" ______________________ IMPROVED FUNCTIONALITY - Test Pattern Selection Issue Certain sequences of operations from the router's front panel could result in the test pattern selection indicated on the front panel being out of sync with the actual test pattern displayed. This issue has been resolved. - Raster Box Rolling Through Video Issue The internally generated raster boxes would be displayed on all router output channels, and thus would be "rolling" through non test pattern outputs. The raster boxes are only intended to be displayed on top of internal test patterns. Issue resolved so that raster boxes are only displayed if an internal test pattern is selected on that output. *************************** Version 1.00 ***************************** _______________ IMPORTANT NOTES - This is the initial release of the MatrixPRO DVI 8x8 Router Software. - Current Encore family controllers running 1.12 software (or older) will control the MatrixPRO DVI, but some differences must be observed. The "test comm" dialog in the Encore controllers will not work, but as long as the router is setup as a Folsom router, DVI, 8x8, with the correct IP (192.168.0.243 port 23 default), and patches to the router are setup, the Encore will correctly control the DVI router after the first couple sources are selected in the source selection bus. Future Encore Software will work with "test comm" dialog. ____________ NEW FEATURES - This is the initial release of the MatrixPRO DVI 8x8 Router Software. - Input EDID may be programmed with a desired "preferred" resolution. The default EDID "preferred" resolution is 1400x1050 @59.94. - Test patterns may be generated at any desired resolution. Note that after setting up a test pattern, the "Test Pat" button behaves as a ninth input to the router, so to activate a test pattern, press "Output #, Test Pat, Take". - RGB Mute key also behaves as if it was an input to the router. To use it, press "Output #, RGB Mute, Take". RGB Mute blanks the video going to the selected output, but leaves the syncs running, so that the downstream device will not loose its input lock. - Vertical interval switching works based on the selected source input channels V sync. The selected channel should have a stable video source. ********************************************************************** ____________ INSTALLATION Refer to the "MatrixPRO DVI Upgrade Procedure.txt" file contained in the MatrixPRODVI8x8_Rev###.exe file for instructions on upgrading your MatrixPRO DVI Router to this release of software. ______________________________________ CONTACTING BARCO MEDIA & ENTERTAINMENT Should you have any comments or questions about this release or any other product, please point your web browser to www.folsom.com for current contact information.
