Note: When printing this document, choose Landscape for page orientation. ___________________ WHAT'S IN THIS FILE - New Features - Improved Functionality - Installation - Contacting Barco Folsom LLC. ************************ Version 1.03 ********************************* - Initial release - The Matrix Pro Remote Controller (MPRC) comes with a PC application to configure the IP address of the MPRC and the target (router). Without this utility, users can still configure the IP address using the MPRC front panel, however the range of avaliable IP address will be limited to 192.168.0.201 to 192.168.0.216 for the MPRC and 192.168.0.241 to 192.168.0.243 for the routers. - To Change IP address using the front panel. Press and hold the Network Address Button. (using a pen or a pin) The LED on the output button bus will be turned off, and an LED on the input button bus will be lit to indicate the IP address for the MPRC. button 1 to 16 correspond to IP address 192.168.0.201 to 192.168.0.216. (If there is no LED that is lit, the MPRC is using a custom IP address out of this range) To change it, simply press one of the buttons. Press and hold the Network Address Button a second time, the LED on the output button bus will be turned off, and an LED on the input button bus will blink to indicate the IP address for the router. button 1 to 3 correspond to IP address 192.168.0.241 to 192.168.0.243. button 16 is a custom IP address for the router. The other are invalid. - To change IP address using the MPRC Ethernet Configuration utility. Connect a serial cable from the PC to the MPRC being configured. Run the MPRC Ethernet Configuration utility from the folder that the MPRC is installed. Choose the com port that the MPRC is connected to. The program will show the unit and target IP address for the connected unit. To change the IP address, simply type the IP address on the text box for the unit or target IP address, and click the corresponding button. (Remember to also set the ip address on the router if necessary, as the program only affect MPRC's settings.) Alternatively, Defaults IP addresses can be used by clicking the "Defaults" Menu and choosing the appropiate default. Below is a list of Defaults values: Router MPRC IP address Router IP address Analog 192.168.0.201 192.168.0.241 SDI 192.168.0.202 192.168.0.242 DVI 192.168.0.203 192.168.0.243 Note: The MatrixPro routers and the MPRC assumes that the network subnet mask to be 255.255.255.0.
