The concept here is to connect AUX outputs from one or more router types to the ImagePRO so that any available source used in the Encore Controllers can be displayed on a given monitor or sent to a recording device. The following steps must be performed to use this new feature: 1) Make sure your Encore Controller is running software release 1.11 or above. If you are running a previous release, you will need to upgrade your Encore Controller per the normal upgrading procedure. 2) Connect your ImagePRO to the same Ethernet Switch that the Encore Controller is connected to. To make sure the ImagePRO finds the Encore Controller as quickly as possible, make sure the Encore Controller is ON prior to setting up the ImagePRO. 3) Setting up the ImagePRO requires enabling the Ethernet port and then enabling the connection to the Controller. To do this, the following steps must be done within the ImagePRO setup menus: a) Go to the SETUP-->SYSTEM-->ETHERNET menu. By default the MODE field is set to OFF and the DHCP field is set to ON. The MODE field turns the Ethernet port ON or OFF. Set the MODE field to ON. When this field has been set, the following message will show: Searching for DHCP server Please wait... Since the Controller was turned ON in Step 2, the ImagePRO will get an IP Address from the Controller in about 10 - 20 seconds. Note: The IP field at the bottom of the ETHERNET menu will show the IP Address assigned to the ImagePRO from the Controller. b) Next, scroll down the ETHERNET menu and select the BARCO CONTROL sub menu. Within this menu, first set the UNIT ID to a unique ID number that is not in use by any other Video Processor or ImagePRO. Next, set the CONNECT field to ON. When this field is set, the following message will show: Attempt remote connection Please wait... Once the connection is established, the following message will show for a few seconds: Remote control connection established After this message is displayed, the ImagePRO will return to the BARCO CONTROL menu. Notes: - The IP field in the BARCO CONTROL menu will show the IP Address of the DHCP Server (i.e. the Controller). - The STATUS field in the BARCO CONTROL menu will show ACTIVE when a successful connection has been established. This field will show "n/a" if the CONNECT field is set to OFF. - If the connection is lost or disrupted for any reason, the ImagePRO will automatically attempt to reconnect and the following message will show: Attempt remote connection Please wait... - Front Panel Lockout / Executive mode The ability to Lockout the Front Panel has been added to ImagePRO. To access this feature, go to SETUP-->SYSTEM menu and select the "Lock Front Panel" menu item. At this point the front panel of the ImagePRO is locked out and the following message will be displayed: Front Panel Locked Out. Unit ID xx To unlock the front panel, press and hold both SEL and ESC buttons down for approximately 4 seconds. - Diagonal Motion on Output Test Patterns (ImagePRO-HD and ImagePRO-SDI only) For ImagePRO-HD and ImagePRO-SDI units, output test patterns can now have diagonal motion. This issue has been resolved in this release. - Adjusting Output H Position / V Position could cause the Output image to freeze. This issue has been resolved in this release. - Adjusting Output H Total / V Total did not correctly update the H Front Porch or V Front Porch values. This issue has been resolved in this release. - For the ImagePRO-SDI and HD models, the logo capture is now only allowed when the selected input channel has a valid source. - When viewing a Logo Capture, the first few vertical lines were missing. This issue has been resolved in this release. - Input Auto Config is now only allowed when the selected input channel has a valid source. - The "Best Guess" algorithm for Input Video acquisition has been improved with this release. - If Input Files were saved via the Front Panel with trailing spaces as part of the file name, these files could not be recalled with the Serial Remote Control command. This issue has been resolved in this release. - When acquiring DVI or SDI input sources, Gamma, Contrast and Brightness were not being set to default values. This issue has been resolved in this release. - Selecting HD Output timings will now automatically select YPbPr colorspace and enable SOG tri-level sync. - When Genlocking NTSC or PAL to either Black Burst or HVScLOCK it was possible that the Composite and S-Video outputs would not generate output timing. This issue has been resolved in this release. - When attempting to Genlock ImagePRO and the Genlock signal is not connected or if Genlock can not be achieved, then the ImagePRO will periodically attempt to lock to the specified Genlock signal. During this time, the ImagePRO front panel display will now show "LOST GENLOCK" until this process is successful. - Equalization and Serration menu items have been removed as user selectable options. When setting the ImagePRO to Output and Interlaced signal, Serrations and Equalizations will always be ON. - Progressive Segmented Frame formats are not supported in the ImagePRO Basic model and are no longer available as selections within the format selection menus. - ImagePRO now performs precise measurements on DVI Input signals and does not best guess on the format. - The Parity and Hardware Handshaking Serial Port parameters if adjusted and saved by a user would not be properly recalled after power cycling the ImagePRO.
