In this release, if input is 1920x1080, the system will allow 1920x2160 or 2048x2160 as output formats. If you select 2048x2160, you will still need to go to the Output -> Area Of Interest menu and update the HSize to 1920 and then move the HPos correctly. ********************************** Version 03.00.11 ************************************** ______________________ IMPROVED FUNCTIONALITY - Audio Fixed a problem related to AES inputs that were digitally muted causing an audio noise on other channels. - Web App Fixed a problem that could cause the webapp to hide some functionality in early production units. ____________ KNOWN ISSUES - HDMI Input with S3D and Audio Certain combinations of Blue-ray players with certain commercially available S3D discs can exhibit an intermittent audio problem. Sometimes this problem does not manifest itself until the movie has been playing for many minutes. The problem does not occur with 2D playback of the movie. ********************************** Version 03.00.10 ************************************** ____________ NEW FEATURES - Audio Embed / Disembed Support Installing the Audio Mezzanine option card (R9004667), enables the ImagePRO-II to receive and output audio internally on the SDI, HDMI and DisplayPort connectors. In addition, the Audio Mezzanine card can take eight channels of AES/EBU audio in or two channels of analog audio in for embedding purposes. This same card offers eight channels of AES/EBU audio out or two channels of analog audio out in order to drive external audio devices. ImagePRO-II units with Audio can be purchased by ordering P/N: R9004666. An optional Audio Breakout cable is also available by ordering P/N: R767423K. This cable provides access to the external AES/EBU I/O channels along with the Analog I/O channels on the DB-25 via BNC and XLR connectors. When this option is installed, a new Audio submenu becomes available by way of the "AUDIO" button located directly under the "TEST PAT" button. One of two mapping options needs to be selected, "Input" or "Direct". When "Input Mapping" is selected, the user has the ability to associate a certain audio source with a particular video input. "Direct Mapping" associates a certain audio source with all video inputs. For more detailed information concerning audio support with ImagePRO-II, please refer to the ImagePRO-II User's Guide, Rev 01 or higher. - Stereoscopic 3D (S3D) Support ImagePRO-II now has the ability to convert S3D sources to alternate S3D signal formats, provided that the Dual Output option card (R9004684) is installed in the unit. If you have purchased the ImagePRO-II Dual Output unit (R9004683), this option card is already installed. Both single or dual stream S3D inputs or outputs are supported and available for selection when the System Mode is set to "S3D". A variety of packing modes, including Frame Packed, Side-By-Side, Top/Bottom and Sequential are also supported depending on the use case. For Sequential Left/Right signals on DVI or HDMI an S3D Sync input can be accepted on the 3-pin miniDIN or output on a separate 3-pin miniDIN per the VESA 3D specification. The miniDIN connections are located on the Dual Output option card. Other supported features include 3D Logo capture/playback, Image Flip per eye, Left/Right Eye Swap and a 3D test pattern to help with output display adjustments. For more detailed information concerning S3D support with ImagePRO-II, please refer to the ImagePRO-II User's Guide, Rev 01 or higher. - Quad->Dual System Mode This new system mode combines two inputs from either (DVI / HDMI) or (SDI 1 / SDI 2) into one image as a dual link video format. When used with two ImagePRO-II units, this is useful to combine four 1920x1080 or 2048x1080 sources into two 1920x2160 or 2048x2160 sources to feed a 4K projector. When in this mode, only the DVI and DisplayPorts outputs will be available since they are the only interfaces that support dual link formats. For more detailed information concerning the Quad->Dual system mode, please refer to the ImagePRO-II User's Guide, Rev 01 or higher. ______________________ IMPROVED FUNCTIONALITY - ImagePRO-II as an Encore Family AUX - Resolved communication issues with larger setups consisting of many VPs and ImagePRO-II units on the same network. - Input sizing, aspect ratio and color settings contained in the input files copied down to ImagePRO-II from an Encore family controller, will be used by this AUX device when switching sources. - Switching sources on the same connector type is now done with a smooth fade to black transition. - The ability to distinguish between RGB and SMPTE colorspace for analog inputs has been improved with this release. - Fixed color sampling artifacts at the edges of the image. These could be seen when edge butting outputs from multiple ImagePRO-II units. - Added Dual-Head @50, 59.94 & 60Hz (1280x1080) to support the Barco panorama CRPN-52B projector. - Fixed PAN value recall rounding errors that could happen after a system reboot or memory recall. ********************************** Version 02.50.06 *************************************** ____________ NEW FEATURES - Input/Output SDI Dual Link Support ImagePRO-II can be setup to receive or output a Dual Link SDI signal per SMPTE ST 372:2011. These formats require two physical SDI connectors, meaning that the Dual Output option card (R9004684) must be installed in the ImagePRO-II. If you have purchased the ImagePRO-II Dual Output unit (R9004683), this option card is already installed. To enable a Dual Link output format on "SDI Out" and "SDI 2 Out", start by selecting the desired Output format in the Output menu. See the table below for a list of supported resolution/frame rates. Next, in the Output SDI submenu, select "SDI Link" and change this to "Dual". If desired, the OUT COLOR/SAMPLE/BIT submenu can be used to change the color space, color sample mode and color bit-depth as required. Only the "SDI1" field needs to be adjusted when in "Dual" mode as both SDI outputs follow this selection. To receive an SDI Dual Link format, connect the input source to "SDI In 5" and "SDI In 6". On the front panel, select Input 5. In the Input Menu, the "Type" field must be set to "SDI DL". At this point, both Input 5 and Input 6 buttons will be lit on the front panel. The ImagePRO-II does not require user interaction for 3G Level A or B inputs. The system will automatically detect the SDI format as expected. For SDI Outputs, start by selecting the desired 3G Output format in the Output menu. Next, in the Output SDI submenu, select either "SDI 1 3G Type" or "SDI 2 3G Type" and change this to "Level A" or "Level B". - Minimum Delay Mode This is a new system mode that allows an input signal to bypass processing within the ImagePRO-II for the lowest possible delay (<3 lines). The primary purpose for this mode is for converting 3G SDI Level B to 3G SDI Level A or vise versa. This is useful when a camera only outputs 3G SDI Level B while the switcher only supports 3G SDI Level A on its inputs. To use this feature, go to the System menu and change the System Mode to "MinDelay". When entering this mode, the following will be true: 1) The Output format will be automatically changed to match the Input format. 2) Genlock will be set to lock to the Input. 3) The following features will be disabled: a) Ouput Format and Ouput Timing Adjustments b) Input Sizing, Output AOI and PAN / Zoom functionality c) Output Auto Config d) Output Effects menu e) Output Test Pattern, LOGO and Black Buttons f) Logo Upload and Capture g) View and Transition menus Be sure to save Input, Output and System states once this mode is setup and functioning. - Multiple Unit Control UI The Multiple Unit Control User Interface (UI) allows an operator to control multiple ImagePRO-II units on the same network via a web browser, without installing a separate control application. After discovery and setup of the ImagePRO-II units in the UI, one or more units can be enabled to accept source changes or transitions. After this is done, selection of any input, including Logo or initiation of a transition, will happen on the selected ImagePRO-II units. Use the following steps to setup and start using this UI to control multiple ImagePRO-II units. 1.
