Overview of the "Current Official Releases" on ftp.folsom.com

The files contained in this directory are the latest release for the Event Master series.
This is the same software that can also be downloaded directly from the barco.com website. 

In order for software to be posted in this directory and the website, it has gone through 
extensive internal testing coupled with cycles of external customer testing and feedback. 
Once these processes have been completed, Engineering Records are generated officially 
locking down the release for use in the field. It is highly recommended that all software 
and firmware contained in this directory be used together as these are the versions that 
have been tested by the factory to work together on any given Event Master system.


- Directories with the naming convention "Release x.x PATCH"

  The files contained in these directories are based on the latest official release. They are 
  targeted builds that contain fixes to existing features one might need during normal operation 
  of the system. No other changes have been made to the software outside of these fixes. It is 
  not necessary to upgrade your system to the PATCH release unless you explicitly require the 
  fix(es) noted in the What's New file. While not "official" releases, "PATCH" releases are 
  approved for use in live environments as they are based on the current official release.
